The action is set low, so the strings are close to the fingerboard and it is easy to play. There is a spot under the fingerboard that was left unfinished. You can see it in the pictures. It's not noticeable unless you hold the instrument a certain way and look underneath. The neck splice is also very ugly cosmetically. There's nothing wrong with it, but they didn't do a good job of matching the stain color, so it's very noticeable when you look at the back of the neck. You can also see this in the picture.
As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong with the case at all. It is a hard shell, vinyl covered wooden case with black velvety interior.
